Katabasis (1/2)

Earlier this year I had the opportunity to create two endpapers for Illumicrate's exclusive edition run of R.F. Kuang's novel Katabasis. This first scene is of the two main characters in the story, Alice and Peter, entering hell.
Although parts of this project were definitely challenging, it was an amazing experience and something I'd absolutely love to get the opportunity to do again. Thanks to Illumicrate and more specifically Katie Gray for giving me a chance to push myself beyond my limits, because it's in these types of projects where I truly do my best work.
