Franklin's lost expedition, Francis Crozier

Character design school assignment: Create a character design based on an allotted explorer. I chose Franklin's lost expedition, and more specifically to do a design based on Francis Crozier - Franklin's second-in-command.

An exploration of the Northwest Passage in the Canadian Arctic ended in total disaster. Becoming icebound for more than a year, the crew had to abandon ship to walk the ice, in search of the Canadian mainland. Entire crew to vanish and presumably perish, until many-a-years later.

Though, come to find out, the crew had not suffered a quick death. Hypothermia, lead contaminated canned food, unfortunate allegations of cannibalism... It goes on and on.

This design was supposed to capture a desperate frostbite-ridden Crozier, snow-blind and suffering from cataracts, torn shirt, carrying some of those aforementioned canned food.
